When I was a kid, maybe 11 or 12 years old my grandma Katie would take me into Eraldi’s. On those days I knew one thing for sure, I was going to come out of that place with a new pair of shoes, some jeans and I was going to be happy. 35 years later I still love walking through that front door, shopping for a new pair of shoes and supporting a great local family. Eraldi’s has been doing business on the Sonoma Plaza since the 1920’s and run by Don Eraldi since 1959, that’s about as local as you’re going to get.
To say that I’m completely addicted to coffee is probably an understatement. Correction, addicted to really-really good coffee! I don’t drink large quantities of coffee, usually just one cup a day, but the coffee I do drink has to be really fresh, really strong and give me a good punch in the face with caffeine. When warmer days roll around the thought of a hot cup off coffee is less appealing, so what to do? Cold brew of course!
Truth be told it’s always time for a Sonoma Valley farmers market, fresh local food is just how we roll. Even though the Sonoma Valley Market is open year round, the signs of spring and warmer weather start to get the juices flowing for a need to visit a local parking lot that has been transformed into a mini food festival.
