Have you heard the news? The Dutch have arrived in Sonoma! On May 16, after two months of construction, Dutch Bros. Coffee FINALLY opened their windows — a drive-thru and walk-up — with a day of free coffee for EVERYONE, as is part of the Dutch Bros experience [first ever visitors get a free drink]. And I have been there every day since opening, for many reasons which I’m about to share!
So, what’s up with Glen Ellen? It would appear that the magazine “The Best Restaurants In The Whole Wide World” must have published an article that said if you are awesome at what you do then you should move to Sonoma Valley and open a restaurant in Glen Ellen. Because they are…and they are.
If you haven’t already, now is the time in the Sonoma Valley to get your garden going. An added issue we have this year is water, or lack of. The kick off for Sonoma’s Tuesday night farmers market took place last week, and you know what that means, right? Yep, the Tuesday night After Party is back in full swing at Murphy’s Irish Pub!! The “what” you say..? We all know that the Tuesday night market is as much of a mini town party as it is a place to purchase some local organic produce. So when the sun begins to set and you’re just not ready to call it a night, Murphy’s has you covered.
The Sonoma Valley is known for amazing wine but let’s face it, great coffee in Sonoma Valley is every bit as important as great wine, and truthfully maybe more so…bad coffee makes for a very long day! I’m not really sure when it started for me, maybe 15 years ago? I was introduced to freshly ground quality coffee that had a big bold flavor and I have been hooked ever since.
