So I’m an early person, no question about it. If you’re an early person also then I have a great way to spend a morning. Hiking in the Sonoma Valley. Not just hiking mind you, hiking with a purpose! And what would that purpose be? Mimosa purpose! That’s right, every good hike needs a reward right!? Otherwise you’re just kind of walking in the dirt on the side of a hill.
Guess where one of the most well developed miniature railroads in the world is located, wait for it..wait for it.. Sonoma Train Town! This place has been like the local disneyland since it first opened in 1968 by Stanley Frank and is still run by his relatives today. It has been called “an endearing and surprising modern tribute to trains” and yes, everyone agrees!
So, you say you like a little adventure? Well here is a prefect opportunity to get your blood racing! I have 4 words for you, Vintage Airplane Rides Sonoma! Jump in the cockpit, you’re about to see the Sonoma Valley form a whole new perspective. It’s pretty safe to say that just about all of us have flown before, but how many of us have jumped into a vintage biplane or world war two fighter and buzzed around for a bit! This is one of those adventurous things that you just need to experience, and as a side note, aerobatics are optional but as long as your up there I say you just need to give it a go.
Does your dog ever spaz out and just need to burn off some serious energy, ya been there! Our last dog was the greatest, she was an Old English Sheepdog named Kirby. We had her for 13 great years and let me tell you, she loved to be crazy and just run!
There are a number of great reasons to find an off leash dog park so that rover can run around and just be a dog. Whether you’re visiting the Sonoma Valley and need a place to let your dog run and stretch or maybe you live in an apartment, condo, townhouse and just have a small yard. Whatever the reason, there are three off leash dog parks located throughout the Sonoma Valley so no matter what you won’t have a long drive to get to one.
